I used to go there on some weekends. The police set up a camera in the fire department parking lot awhile ago so stopped going there regularly. Not sure what they are trying to monitor for.

I don't know exatly. YV01 had an early morning call to assemble their train and leave Rural Hall when they were finished. I was just lucky enough to arrive as they were preparing to leave. I think they are a weekday-only railroad so they may be on holiday on July 4.

I have not watched many trains in Charlotte. I happened to be on the north side of town so the Harris Depot Park was a reasonable place to watch. This time of year, having shade is a good thing.

@@DavidUyNP. You might see a 24X & 28R both northbound intermodals. 24X has a Dash 9 leader. I’m unsure about the 28R.

I've been smothered by the dust of this train several times this year as they seem to be moving more limestone. Very messy. One time a CSX crew was asking on the radio if the train was smoking and on fire as it passed by.

These are all in Raleigh. Do the tracks ever cross Timber Drive in Garner?

These trains run between Raleigh to Charlotte daily. They are kept in a yard that is visible from Capital Blvd just north of town. The trains that stop in Burlington depart Raleigh at 10AM, 1PM 3:15PM and 5:30PM every day. There is a 6:30AM train the leaves for Charlotte, but it does not make a stop in Burlington.
